Evans, GA, is a major suburb of Augusta. Approximately 11 miles from Augusta and located in Columbia County, the area is popular with young families due to its excellent public schools. Evans is not the county seat, but it is home to the Columbia County courthouse. Evans continues to see growth in restaurant and retail, as well as in local businesses choosing Evans, GA.

Evans Towne Center Park is a popular location for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The park includes multiple play structures, a splash pad, a dog park and paved paths for walking, running or cycling. There is also ample green space for an afternoon picnic (or nap). Evans Towne Center Park is also home to Lady Antebellum Pavilion. The Pavilion derives its name from the city’s connection with with one of the three singers in the country group Lady Antebellum. Banjobque happens every Memorial Day weekend and features an array of barbecue vendors and bluegrass music. Nearby, the Columbia County Amphitheater also regularly hosts both free and ticketed events. The Amphitheater is adjacent to another playground area, situated behind the Columbia County Library.
