North Augusta is home to multiple outdoor trails and parks, most notably, the North Augusta Greeneway. The Greeneway includes more than seven miles of paved trails, developed on an old railway. From sunrise to sunset, the trail is used by walkers, runners and cyclists, with a section of the trial running alongside the Savannah River. The Palmetto Parkway Bike Path is also located in North Augusta. Slightly longer than 4.5 miles, this path runs alongside part of I-520. Hikers can come to North Augusta to enjoy the Savannah River Bluffs trail. Though only a 2-mile loop, the trial is moderately difficult and culminates with views of the Savannah RIver.

If you visit North Augusta, be sure to visit the recently opened SRP Park, home of the Augusta Green Jackets minor league baseball team. The state-of-the-art stadium offers river views from its outfield seats.
